Aulava

Aulava is a captivating destination in Finland that has played a significant role in the country’s cultural and music scene since its establishment in the 1960s. As a dance venue, opened on May 1, 1967, Aulava not only hosted parties and gatherings but also served as a launching pad for emerging Finnish bands like HurriganesEppu NormaaliKolmas Nainen, and Popeda. Even internationally renowned acts such as Motörhead and Twisted Sister have performed here, making Aulava a cultural hotspot during the 1970s and 1980s.

Today, Aulava offers not only a rich cultural history but also practical amenities for visitors. The site features a beautiful campground with spaces for tents, motorhomes, and caravans. Additionally, there are summer cottages, a wood-fired sauna, an electric sauna, showers, and toilets. For activities, boats and bicycles are available (at a reasonable rental price), making Aulava an ideal spot for parties, meetings, workshops, and family celebrations.

Aulavan Ystävät ry and Aulava Oy are the driving forces behind the cultural events at Aulava. They organize and promote galleries, café activities, dance evenings, and other events.
